Choices Group continues to be recognized as one of the model Drug Court Treatment programs in the nation. We are frequently called upon to provide assistance to other Drug Courts across the U.S. and serve as a mentor treatment court training site for the National Association of Drug Court professionals. Choices Group was also selected by the U.S. Department of Justice as a national evaluation site.

Drug Court Programs are court-supervised, comprehensive treatment programs for drug dependent juvenile and adult offenders. Through our four phase treatment model, the program addresses early recovery issues, wellness education, relapse and recovery, and transitional education and groups. Treatment includes drug testing, counseling, wellness treatment, educational assistance, vocational training, and job placement. The Drug Court Judge, Public Defender, District Attorney, Probation Officers, child welfare workers, and treatment providers work together to monitor the progress of the client.

We approach substance abuse treatment with a distinct philosophy of wellness. Positive reinforcement, sanctions and judicial oversight are tools used to motivate changes in negative behaviors. Our model requires clients to plan ahead, looking forward to a bright future rather than focusing on their past.

Maple Star Nevada (“Maple Star”) has operated since 1995 and provides multiple levels of Foster Care as well as Rehabilitation and day treatment programs primarily in the Las Vegas, Reno and Elko areas. Specialized foster homes and supportive services allow Maple Star to serve a wide variety of Nevada youth including those involved with Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice, as well as Tribal children. The support services are available not only to Maple Star foster homes but to families and foster homes operated by the county and other providers. This capability has gained Maple Star the reputation of "One Stop Shopping" for children in Nevada.

Maple Star builds on strengths within clients’ communities and relationships, rather than segregating and isolating young people from others. We seek to emphasize client strengths by identifying and developing interests and skills, increasing opportunities for social relationships, and increasing the continuity of relationships.

A to Z In-Home Tutoring provides effective, high-quality tutoring to students to improve their grades and their ability to learn. Many of our clients were born into poverty, and some were abused and neglected or abandoned. With the right inspiration and a little help on the academic front, these kids can quickly catch up in school, get ahead and develop the skills and self-esteem to be successful in life. Individualized programs are tailored to the unique needs of each child and services are offered in the client’s home, at their school or in the community.

Upon completing the A to Z program, students typically acquire six new math skills and six new language arts skills. On average, student composite scores increase by 21% from pre-test scores to post-test scores. And parents love the A to Z program. In surveys of parents completed at the conclusion of every school year, A to Z receives very high marks year in and year out. Parents see improvements in areas such as: grades, behavior at school, attendance and self-esteem. Last year, A to Z’s parent satisfaction rate was 97%.

A to Z In-Home Tutoring was founded in Nashville, TN and provides tutoring to children in 22 states and Washington, DC. A to Z’s corporate office is located in Brentwood, TN.

LogistiCare has been managing non-emergency medical (NEMT) and other social service transportation programs for government agencies and managed care organization (MCOs) since 1989. LogistiCare currently is the nation’s largest and most experienced manager of Medicaid NEMT programs for state governments and MCOs, providing over 17 million NEMT trips annually in 36 states and the District of Columbia. LogsitiCare has also managed other types of human service transportation programs such as ADA paratransit, school transportation, commercial ambulance, and elderly dial-a-ride services.

LogistiCare pioneered what is known as the “brokerage” model for delivering transportation services. Under the brokerage model, the funding entity outsources the management of their transportation benefit to a professional transportation management company, usually under a full-risk capitated financial arrangement. LogistiCare’s consistent record of cost saving and service quality has been instrumental in the increasing adoption of the NEMT broker model by state Medicaid agencies and MCOs throughout the country.
